New Hope is a vibrant, young, multi-ethnic, diverse community that is seeking to live out the kingdom of God wherever we are. Our approach is relaxed, relevant to life, and we like to have a good time too.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I wear?
Everyone at New Hope dresses in a variety of styles, depending on his or her background. Some people wear very casual clothes, such as a button-down shirt, shorts or jeans. Others wear an outfit representing their country of origin. You will also find some people in a suit and tie. The bottom line is that you are welcome to dress however you feel comfortable!
What is the worship service like?
Our 80-minute church services start with live, upbeat music led by singers and a band; you’re invited to sing along (singing and music has a way of engaging our heads and our hearts in engaging with God). Don’t worry — no one will put a microphone in your face!

We take a few moments to pray together as a community. Each week we invite those who would like to come to the front of the room for this more connected time of prayer (it’s not required though).

Then one of our pastors will share a practical and relevant message. You’ll find our messages easy to understand and filled with hope. We believe that life is tough, so we want you to leave with some hope and encouragement to face another week — by understanding how God‘s message relates to your life.

What about my children?
New Hope is known for its dynamic children and youth ministries.

Kids Church is a worship service exclusively for children that takes place at the same time as our first (10:30 a.m.) service. Every week, the kids participate in hands-on experiences that bring the Bible to life and help make God real and relevant to them.

Kids Care is our free child care program, is also available during first service. Right after the service, you can pick up your children from Kids Church or Kids Care; our safety-first policy means they cannot leave until a parent or legal guardian signs them out.

Find out more about our safety-first approach in the Family Ministries/children section.

What about my tween and teen?
We have an engaging Middle School group that meets each Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. It‘s a place where they can learn, grow and experience God with kids their age.

We also have a group for teens every Saturday, as well small groups just for girls and just for guys during the month. During summers, our teens have the opportunity to participate in community service projects; they can even go on our annual mission trip.

What about young adults?
Our young adults have something going on every month: small group discussions, nights of worship, gathering with food, fun and just hanging out. They even get together for a themed potluck the fourth Saturday of each month.
What happens after the worship service?
After the 10:30 a.m. service, you’re invited to Seven Minutes or Less, a brief information session at the front of the worship center. You’ll learn more about us, we’ll answer your questions — and even send you home with a little something, too.

We hope you will have a meaningful, relevant and uplifting experience at New Hope. We want to help you discover what it means to live out God’s kingdom wherever you are. So if you have questions or would like to take the next step, let us know.
